Job Summary: Import and Export Compliance

Duties/Responsibilities:

• In-depth Import and Export Compliance expertise.

• Ascertain correct product classifications to include HTS, ECCN, and license requirements.

• Improve procedure for product valuation in compliance with official regulations.

• Perform as a lead for import and export coordinators.

• Assure NAFTA compliance with regulations; interact with brokers and manufacturers to support determinations.

• Arrange and lead formal Import trainings and seminars.

• Construct standard procedures and institute performance objectives for customs brokerage and export partners. Evaluate providers periodically and review performance and need for new/additional partners.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Current Industry experience required.

• Bachelor’s degree requires (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics or related field

• Additional governmental Import and Export Compliance trainings and certifications

• Extensive knowledge of US Customs, Department of Commerce regulations, and International trade law regulations, HTS and classification.

• Pluses: US Customs brokerage license, Spanish and experience with Import/Export software.
