Job Summary: To guarantee the company’s compliance with all international trade programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

 Supervise the execution and running of export/import compliance program in the US in accordance with US and export/import laws and regulations.

 Support Global Trade Compliance initiatives.

 Acts as “empowered official” per the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) providing required certifications to the DDTC by signing export licenses and TAAs, and signing Commerce, and OFAC export documentation.

 Prepare, submit and oversee export licenses, TAA, MLA, Temporary Admission (ATA) Carnets, import certificates and various correspondences to the Department of State and Department of Commerce.

 Make available counsel to employees on import/export issues for interpretation of all Federal government export related regulations.

 Contributes in preparing export training materials and carries out export training.

 Conducts and takes part in internal export compliance audits.

 Meticulous importance on handling controlled technical data in a setting with foreign nationals.

 Prepare Commodity Jurisdiction and Commerce Classification requests.

 Review for compliance all issued State Department’s DSP-5s.

Skills/Qualifications:

 Bachelors Degree in Business, Management, Business Administration, International Trade or related fields.

 7-10 years experience in trade compliance.

 Military and/or aerospace background highly preferred.

 Detailed awareness of US Code of Federal Regulations, EAR and ITAR

 Detailed understanding of US Code of Federal Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations

 Knowledge of US Customs Modernization Act, US Customs Reasonable Care Standards, Free Trade Agreements

 Understanding of US Customs Modernization Act, US Customs Reasonable Care Standards, Free Trade Agreements

 Previous export compliance experience with a defense contractor is preferred.
